Analogies among car brands
and watch brands
The following table evidences the analogies
among car brands and watch brands, according to their technical and aestetical
traditions. It may help a not expert to rapidly identify the positioning
of a watch brand, more effectively than through thousands of words.
The listed analogies are the ones that best
fit, according to my personal view. Nevertheless, since the approach oversimplifies
a complex reality, consider that:
-
because of the one-to-one approach, the table
does not highlight all of the analogies among brands;
-
since the brand level is referred to the car brands,
some watch brands are listed in a not appropriate level;
-
the proposed analogies probably reflect a typical
european perception.
